| Hongqun Liu got his MD in Hebei Medical University in 1984; Master Degree (MSc) in Hebei Medical University in 1989; and Ph.D degree in Tongji Medical University. in 1993, in China. He was promoted as Professor of Medicine in 1996. In the same year, he was supported by Sino-British scholarship and worked in Royal Free Hospital School of Medicine, London University as a Visiting Scholar for one year.
In 1997, he joint Dr. Samuel S Lee’s group in Liver Unit, University of Calgary. He is now an Adjunct Research Associate Professor. He was a Deputy Editor, Liver International from 2007-2012.
